Become a Schuylkill River Heritage Partner

The Heritage Partners program, developed by the Schuylkill River Heritage Area, is a no fee membership program for nonprofit museums, cultural institutions, historic sites, tourism, and other entities within Schuylkill, Berks, Chester, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties. The goal is to create dynamic, mutually beneficial partnerships and linkages among historic sites, tourism agencies, and advocacy organizations under the umbrella of the Schuylkill River National & State Heritage Area.

WHAT IS A HERITAGE PARTNER?

Participating organizations may include historic sites, museums, historical societies, arts & culture organizations, community development corporations, watershed conservancies, land trusts, environmental advocacy organizations, and municipal governments. Heritage Partners will be asked to identify the type of organization they are, their themes/interests, and provide detailed contact information and information about accessibility, hours of operation, admission fees, and other visitor services.

WHY BECOME A HERITAGE PARTNER ?

All Heritage Partners will be listed in the fully searchable database that runs our website, and will be marketed throughout our region, state and nation with the assistance of the National Park Service, the Alliance for National Heritage Areas, DCNR, The Pennsylvania Tourism Office and regional Convention & Visitors Bureaus. Heritage Partners are eligible to purchase SRHA merchandise at wholesale prices whether for gift shops or to distribute to membership or board members.

As part of the Partnership, participating organizations will be asked to provide website linkages to SRHA, reciprocal membership, display the Heritage Area logo, and assist with brochure distribution and cross promotion of events.

SRHA will provide website linkages, reciprocal membership, and will use the list of participating Heritage Partners for mailings, grant making eligibility, stakeholder identification, gateway center information, and events promotion.
