Take an 8.5-mile hike on the AT and then join the Schuylkill River Sojourners for a spaghetti dinner in Port Clinton! This is a difficult hike with a steep, rocky climb organized by the Blue Mountain Eagle Climbing Club.

Meeting 9am Sharp at Shartlesville State Game Lands Parking Lot, Forge Dam Rd.

Hike Description: A.T. Shuttle Hike from Port Clinton to Shartlesville Cross-Mt. Rd., then down the mountain on State Game Lands road to parking lot. Steep climb out of Port Clinton to start, hope to enjoy view from Auburn Overlook, cross Marshalls Path, past Philips Canyon Spring, then more A.T. rocks before out trip down.

When we shuttle back to Port Clinton, we will stop and support the P.C. Fire Co. annual fundraiser. Lots of paddlers and hikers around due to Schuylkill River Sojourn and north-bound thru hikers. (Or skip the hike, put on your club t-shirts, and join us for dinner!) Bring sturdy footwear, lunch, plenty of fluids, and $12 per person for all you can eat spaghetti dinner from 3pm-7pm. Adverse weather may cancel hike but not dinner. The Port Clinton Historical Museum is often open on this day too. Leader: Scott Birchman (484) 280-3034.
